The perfect position to hone project management skills, enhance customer relations and clearly, but compassionately, communicate.
The life insurance industry is very fast paced and emotional. All applicants feel that they are worthy of the best premiums and the highest payouts, but instead they are judged by some of the most unexpected bits of information. Who knew that the early death of a loved one could impact you both emotionally and financially a second time?
As a Life Insurance Case Manager, you work with a large team of individuals. From the salesperson, to the underwriter, to the financial adviser representing the customer, it was important to build a strong relationship with each member of that team.
“I truly enjoyed the relationships built during my time as a life insurance case manager. Unfortunately, the lack of creative outlet left me wanting a change.”
Domino Deadlines
Meeting the deadlines can make or break an application’s success, as well as the possibility of gaining future business from the insurance agent. Once an application is received, it is constantly changing hands from team member to team member, each with their own deadline to meet. As the case manager, it is your responsibility to ensure that each hand off is made on time and to do your best to ensure the agent/customer expectations are met along the way.
